Looking for an adrenaline-filled day out in Cyprus? Whether you're planning a family outing or craving an outdoor challenge, the island's adventure parks offer excitement for every age. Cyprus is home to four main adventure parks, all nestled in mountainous areas. Three are tucked away in the Troodos Mountains, while the fourth is located not far from Limassol.
So what exactly is an adventure park? Typically, it's a dedicated space equipped for active recreation. This could mean anything from climbing and zip-lining to off-road buggy rides and archery. Each adventure park in Cyprus has its own unique flavor, with different activity levels, atmospheres, and price ranges.
Let us introduce you to Cyprus's Fantastic Four.
1
Marina's Rope Park. Kakopetria
Opening hours: Daily from 10:00 to 19:00, except on December 24–25 and December 31–January 1.
Tucked away in a quiet corner of the tourist village Kakopetria, Marina's Rope Park is a surprisingly tranquil spot. You’ll hear little more than the babble of a nearby stream. The final 50 meters of road can be tricky for low-clearance cars, but the destination is worth it.
During my visit, the only staff member present was a man in his thirties behind the bar — bartender and instructor all in one. While his English was limited, we managed to communicate with hand gestures. It’s likely that more staff appear when group bookings are scheduled, but on regular days, it’s a minimalist setup.
The main feature here is the rope course — cables strung between posts at varying heights. Each section comes with its own challenges. I used to wonder who found such setups appealing, but that changed when I watched a family with a 7-year-old take on the course. Turns out, it’s more fun than I thought — especially for kids and energetic teens. Parents can relax at the modest snack bar offering a small selection of fast food.
The rope park has three levels:
Junior level (ages 2–7): A 1-meter high course with simple obstacles. Honestly, this may be a stretch for the youngest kids — unless yours is a toddler ninja.
Level 1. 3 meters high.
Level 2. 7 meters high.
Each of the top two levels features nine challenges, including a Zip line — a suspended cable you ride to descend. Visitors get two hours per level, but most kids finish in about 30 minutes.
How it works: Once you communicate your intention, the instructor quickly outfits you with a helmet and harness. Then you climb a wooden tower, step through the gate — and off you go. No drawn-out safety speeches, just simple and efficient preparation.
Bonus activity: Though not mentioned on the website, there’s a small electric quad bike track for kids. These miniature ATVs can hit speeds of 15 km/h and feel more like real vehicles than typical toy cars.
Considering the prices:
- 2 hours on Junior level: 7,5 Euros
- 2 hours on Level 1: 15 Euros
- 2 hours on Level 1 and 2: 25 Euros
- Private (instructor will follow you on the track): 20 Euros/1 hour
- 5 min quad bike ride: 6 Euros
- 10 min quad bike ride: 10 Euros

Adventure Mountain Park. Kiperounta
Opening hours:
- Summer season (April to October): daily from 09:00 to 20:00, closed on Mondays.
- Winter season (November to March): same schedule, but open from 08:00 to 18:00.
Nestled along a quiet mountain road and surrounded by lush pine forest, Adventure Mountain Park offers a more serious, well-rounded outdoor experience. It’s not the place for casual rope walking, as there are no rope courses here, but the range of other activities makes up for it — from archery to hiking to laser tag.
Here’s what you can expect:
1. Archery. A calm way to start your day. Probably not worth a separate trip on its own, but a decent warm-up before things get more intense.
2. Paintball. Available only for group bookings. The field feels a bit small — better suited for patient ambushes than wild firefights.
3. Laser tag. Similar concept as paintball, but with laser beams instead of paint. The arena is separate from the paintball area but similar in size.
4. Forest paintball. A more dynamic version for those who need space to run. The park’s mountainous woodlands provide a challenging terrain. Be ready for a leg workout — this is not for the faint-hearted.
5. Hiking. Not advertised on the official website but available on-site. The guided hike leads to one of the most panoramic viewpoints in Cyprus — from the summit you can spot Mount Olympus, Limassol, Nicosia, and both coasts. The actual walking distance is 13 km round trip and takes about 4 hours. The route follows a scenic ridge trail, so the views are endless.
6. Climbing. An artificial rock face located within the park. It’s promoted as suitable for all skill levels, but realistically it’s more fun for beginners than for seasoned climbers. Minimum age: 8.
7. Orienteering in the forest. Map, compass, forest. Classic. The aim is to find all the control points faster than your rivals — a nostalgic thrill for some, a novel challenge for others.
8. Tyrolean traverse. This isn’t tightrope walking — it’s a horizontal cable setup where you clip in and pull yourself across suspended ropes. Great for those interested in mountaineering and climbing techniques.
9. Teambuilding. All the above activities can be adapted for corporate groups. The same fun, just with coworkers and maybe a branded T-shirt.
10. Camping. Simple and affordable — bring your own tent or rent one on-site.
11. Botanical garden. A small DIY-style project by the park’s owners. Modest in size, but a pleasant curiosity to explore during downtime.
There’s a full-scale restaurant on site. Most visitors go for either Cypriot meze or the buffet-style menu.
Price list:
- Archery — 8 Euros for an hour and 5 Euros for the equipment
- Climbing — 15 Euros / an hour
- Paintball — from 14 to 48 Euros per person
- Orienteering — 7 Euros for a session
- Tyrolean traverse — 6 Euros per person
- Camping with your own tent — 6 Euros a day; with a “rented” tent — 10 Euros a day
- Teambuilding — from 240 Euros per person
- Meze in the restaurant — 14 Euros per person
3
Sparti Platres Rope Adventure Park. Platres
Opening hours:
- Winter season: weekends only, from 09:00 to 16:00
- Summer season: open five days a week (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)
Billed as “the very first rope park in Cyprus” and boasting “the fastest Zip-line in Europe” reaching speeds of 60 km/h, Sparti Platres Rope Adventure Park sets the bar high — and mostly lives up to it.
Compared to its nearest rival, Adventure Mountain Park, Sparti comes across as larger, livelier, and more integrated into the natural setting. While the Kakopetria ropes are simply strung between poles on open ground, the Platres routes weave between towering forest trees, creating a far more immersive experience.
When I visited on a winter weekend, the place was buzzing. Easily over a hundred people, with a proper queue at the ticket office — something none of the other parks had. This one’s clearly a favorite.
The park focuses almost entirely on its rope course. Apart from a small café and a modest kids’ playground, there are no side attractions. But it doesn’t need any — the rope park itself is massive and diverse enough to fill the day.
The park is comfortably divided into two zones:
- Zone 1 for children from 2 to 10 years old;
- Zone 2 for everyone above 10 years old.
Each zone is split into multiple routes (also called “lines”):
- Kids’ section includes four lines — two orange ones for toddlers, and two purple ones for slightly older children.
- Teen and adult section features five routes of increasing complexity: yellow, green, red, blue, and black.
And once you turn 14, you’re also eligible for the park’s two Zip-lines, dropping you from 96 and 116 meters, respectively. With the basic ticket, you get three hours of access — enough time to roam, climb, slide, and challenge yourself. Each line offers a different structure and height, keeping the experience fresh and engaging.
The staff presence is subtle but effective. There aren’t many instructors around, but they seem to show up exactly where and when they’re needed — no hovering, no pressure.
About the prices:
They are super tangled and twisted here and are written in different places (what is more they vary on the website and in the ad paper). Let’s sort them according to the age:
- the entrance ticket for children from 2 to 5 years old will cost you 14 Euros
- for 6-9 years old — 18 Euros
- for 10-14 years old — 25 Euros
- above 14 years old — 29 Euros
- ticket that includes all kind of activities costs 32 Euros.

Sayious Adventure Park. Asgata
Opening hours: daily from 8:30 to 18:30.
We’ve saved the most thrilling and personal adventure for last. Sayious Adventure Park, nestled in the hills near Limassol, offers not just outdoor fun — it delivers authentic adrenaline and genuine hospitality. There is another article on our website about this Adventure Park that you can also read for more details; but here we are talking mostly about the activities it offers, so we shifted the focus a little bit.
You may have read our in-depth review of the park elsewhere on the site, but this time we’re focusing purely on the activities it offers. And trust us — there’s plenty to talk about.
The first thing you’ll notice isn’t the buggies or the paintball guns — it’s the people. Unlike other parks where staff range from indifferent to baffled, here you’re met with warm smiles and a sincere offer of coffee. The family behind the park — a couple and their three grown sons — run the place with passion, friendliness, and surprising humility. You're treated not like a client, but like an old friend.
The park is family-run and proudly so, and that shows in every detail. Sayious is the largest and most versatile adventure park in Cyprus, with a slightly warmer climate than the Troodos parks, thanks to its lower elevation.
Here’s what’s waiting for you:
1. Off-road buggy tour. No pre-set routes, no generic loops — your instructor gauges your skills and picks the trail accordingly. Beginners can ride standard 625cc buggies, while experienced drivers get something special: a sporty single-seat 300cc machine, unique on the island and a thrill to handle.
2. Archery. A calm option amid all the action — simple, classic, and always satisfying.
3. Paintball. Spacious, scenic, and well-designed — the paintball field here easily outshines the one at Adventure Mountain Park.
4. Enduro tour. This is real extreme sport — not “rollercoaster-level” extreme, but muddy-trail, rocky-turn, muscle-burning extreme. The park customizes the experience based on your level:
- Never touched a bike?
In this case you will get one of the oldest bikes (but in a good technical state) and they will teach you how to ride it. If you get used to it in one lesson, you could ride it on one of the easiest tracks. If not — no problem, come to have the second, third etc lesson. - Casual rider?
Then you will get a relatively new enduro together with the opportunity to improve your skills as well as a ride on a more or less safe off-road track. - Hardcore adrenaline seeker?
They will find one of the trial bikes special for you. The trial bike is the sleekest mountain bike. It doesn’t even have a seat. And truly, why would a psycho need to sit on their bike? Besides crazy rides, they also offer some lessons to pump your already terrifying abilities to the next level. - You are only 6 years old, but you already have that devilish flame in your eyes?
It’s not mentioned in their ad, but even the,n there will be a suitable small bike special for you. And it’s not some slow battery-operated made-in-China toy bike, but a real bike with a petrol engine. So if you are ready and your parents swallowed nervously but nodded to you, let’s go discover the world of extreme sports! But of course, it starts with lessons on a safe track.
All necessary safety equipment is provided. But remember: break it, and you buy it.
5. Go-Karting. Built for drifting and thrills, the karts have powerful 100cc engines. Available for ages 12+.
6. Teambuilding. Combine any of the above for a corporate adventure you’ll never forget.
There’s no full restaurant here, but who needs one when you’ve got a legendary food truck with a vintage coffee machine that brews like a dream? There’s also a massive grill — bring your own meat and cook it yourself in true outdoorsman fashion.
Prices: are a little bit tricky and usually depend on how big is the group of people you came with. We will list prices based on minimum number of guests in a group:
- Enduro tour for amateurs — 50 Euros for an hour or 100 Euros for 2,5 hours
- Enduro tour for advanced riders — 70 Euros for an hour, 140 Euros for 2,5 hours and 210 Euros for 5 hours
- Trial bike — 50 Euros for an hour and 100 Euros for 2,5 hours
- Baggy tour — 90 Euros (both for driver and a passenger) for 50 minutes
- Baggy tour — 60 Euros (for a driver) for 50 minutes
- Carting — 15 Euros for 5 minutes
- Paintball — 25 Euros for a game with 200 rounds in ammunition
- Archery — 50 Euros for 30 minutes
Though all four places fall under the “adventure park” umbrella, they really split into two categories:
- Rope parks (Marina’s and Sparti Platres)
- Multiactivity parks (Adventure Mountain and Sayious)
If you’re new to rope adventures, Adventure Mountain Park is a peaceful and affordable place to start. But once you're ready to level up, Sparti Platres wins hands-down — more routes, better integration with nature, and a much richer experience.
When it comes to real outdoor action, there’s simply no competition: Sayious Adventure Park is the place to go. With expert-led off-road tours, authentic dirt-track thrills, and a staff that truly cares, this is where adventure meets soul.
